John A Delves
John Delves has lived in Cobb County for almost 60 years. Originally from England who came with his mother, three sisters and a dad who was an engineer at Lockheed Georgia Co. He graduated from Osborne High school, attended ga tech, served in the US Army and returned home to finish his education at Kennesaw and Georgia State.
He has been activley involved in the community, the Chamber, Calvary Childrens Home and his Church and enjoys photography, golf, gardening and the arts. He is a member of the Cobb Arts Board, Lockheed Retirees Association, the republican party and a member of the Suzi Awards judging committee. He is very involved with educational institutions throughout Cobb and has been called upon numerous times to assist in School activities.
He and his wife Sandy, former Sandy Englett of Mableton, are residents of the Powder Springs area. They have two grown children, Jennifer and Jason and they have five grandchildren. Jennifer Wilkes lives in Acworth with husband Greg and Ashton, Jordan and Kendall. Jason lives in Macon with wife Betsy, Andrew and Patrick and is president of two corporations in Middle Georgia.
John is an author, consultant, speaker, seminar leader and is never seen without a camera close at hand.
Bill Kinney of the MDJ says he is a community activist and John Says if that in some way means I want what is best for the citizens, the community and I expect elected officials to be above reproach then so be it.
