Santa's Got a New Reindeer and It Answers to Hercules

Members of the Blue Angels visited Lockheed Martin in Marietta on Monday to pick up two pallets of toys to deliver to children impacted by Hurricane Sandy in New York and New Jersey.

Members of the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, visited the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co., site in Marietta on Monday to pick up two pallets of toys to deliver to children impacted by Hurricane Sandy in New York and New Jersey. The toys were loaded into the Blue Angels’ C-130 Hercules cargo plane (known as “Fat Albert”) that was built in Marietta and delivered to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J. The Blue Angels collected more than 900 toys here, which were donated by employees and Lockheed Martin. About half of these toys are science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)-focused in support Lockheed Martin’s corporate philanthropy commitment to STEM education outreach.
