Kids Discover Heroes at Cobb Libraries

The concept for the workshops was developed by Kutz4Kids founder and Kennesaw State grad Justin Tutt.

The Cobb County Public Library System is partnering with Kutz4Kids Incorporated, a nonprofit organization, to offer a series of art workshops for children designed to help them discover their own heroes. These inspirational events will be offered during the months of June and July at various library locations, and the resulting art gallery will be on display at the End of Summer Reading Celebration on Saturday, Aug. 5, at the Central Library. The concept of the workshops, developed by Kutz4Kids founder Justin Tutt, is to empower children to see that their own hero lies within themselves. Go Green! Donate Books to South Cobb Library Branches

Cobb Friends of the Library encourages the public to go green, donate books

The Friends of the Cobb County Public Library System, a nonprofit group whose activities benefit the library system, is requesting that residents recycle their gently used books by donating them to the Cobb County Public Library System. Donations from the public support the ongoing and special book sales held by the Friends, which in turn support the library system’s book budget. Some items are also added to the library’s collection. Popular fiction titles and children’s books are in high demand. Items may be dropped off at the South Cobb Regional Library, the Sweetwater Valley Library or any location of the Cobb County Public Library System, and all donations are tax-deductible. The South Cobb Regional Library invites Madeline in for story time.

South Cobb Regional Library invites Madeline in for storytime and photos with the children's favorite.  The library was buzzing with families who brought their kids from around the community to enojoy the event sponsored by the library and volunteers in the area.  Check out the photo gallery to see how much fun the kids had with Madeline.
