R. Kelly Spotted at Six Flags?

Maybe the R&B star needed a ride at the themepark after having a rollercoaster of a year that included putting his mansion on the market due to nonpayment and having emergency throat surgery.

Just days after news broke that R. Kelly owed nearly $5 million in taxes, he (or perhaps a very convincing doppleganger) was spotted at Six Flags Over Georgia in Austell on June 16. The R & B star was smiling and being silly with an entourage that included two men who looked to be his age and two girls who were about 15 or 16 years old. From 2005-2010, R. Kelly has failed to pay $4.8 million in taxes to the IRS. According to a report from ABC News, Kelly owes $1,472,366.77 for 2005 alone. Last summer, it was discovered that Kelly had not paid the mortgage on his Chicago-area mansion for more than a year. He then faced a $2.9 million foreclosure suit, according to a Huffington Post report. His 11,000-square-foot home went on the market in …

Six Flags Celebrated 45 Years of Good Times

The themepark celebrated its 45th anniversary with appearances from comedian Jeff Foxworthy, nearly 500 cupcakes and fireworks.

Six Flags Over Georgia celebrated 45 years on Saturday. Readers shared their favorite Six Flags memories with South Cobb Patch, and here are a few of our favorites: Tracy Murphy said, "We took our four year old son last year. He went on his first rollercoaster ride ever. To see the joy and excitement on his face when we got off was priceless! It's an experience we will all treasure as a family! Our son can't wait to go back to Six Flags to have fun and create more memories." Rev. David Pearce of Austell Presbyterian Church said, "It was 1970, and I was there with my church youth group. It was July 4 and a rainstorm earlier in the day had cleared many out of the park. We started riding the Great American Scream machine over and over. …
