About 500 children came out on Halloween from 6:30 to 8 p.m. for Mt. Harmony Baptist Church's Trunk-or-Treat event. Everyone was able to get candy and goodies, with the candy running out 15 minutes before the event's official end. Danny Garner wrote, "I started the night with 200 prepared trick or treat giveaways and refilled that twice with candy supplied by the church. There was definitely more people in attendance then I thought would be there for something that was only advertised on the billboard in front of the church for a week." Everyone also was able to chow down on hot dogs, popcorn, food and beverages. South Cobb Patch would like to say a special thanks to Danny Garner for the photos! Have photos from an event in South Cobb? …

Halloween is the one night of the year when all kids (young and old) are focused on candy. We all know it's not health food, but the truth is that not all candies are created equal – even if they look and taste similar. So how do you know which candies will cause the least damage to the ghouls and goblins in your neighborhood this Halloween? According to dietitian Gloria Tsang, author of the new book "Go UnDiet: 50 Small Actions for Lasting Weight Loss'' and founder of nutrition network HealthCastle.com, choosing the right candy can reduce the health impact of your kid's trick-or-treat haul. "With big differences in calories, sugar, and quality of ingredients used, it's just not true that all Halloween candy is the same," Tsang says in a …
