Volunteers Needed for Mableton Clothing Drive
New clothes will be available for needy families free of charge during a clothes drive Aug. 27 at the Family Life Restoration Center Inc.
A local nonprofit will be providing free clothes to families in need this month and are seeking community volunteers to help prepare for the event. Luther Washington, executive director of Family Life Restoration Center Inc. at 6105 Mableton Parkway in Mableton, said a donor who wishes to remain anonymous delivered the clothes he plans to give away. “I figured, let’s have just one day and be a blessing to the community,” he said. The event is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. on Aug. 27.
