Two Longtime Austell Fire Officials Honored
Austell Fire Chief Tim Williams and Lt. George Bach were honored at Monday's City Council meeting for serving the city for 30-plus years.
Austell honored two of its own on Monday night at the city council meeting. Lt. Greg Bach and Fire Chief Tim Williams were recognized for their 30-plus years of service with the city. Bach has served the city as a firefighter for 35 years and has been employed with the city longer than any other Austell employee. Williams is not far behind, and has served the city for 30 years. Nineteen of those years, Williams has served as the city’s fire chief. Each man was presented a plaque and a gold pin at the meeting. Members of the Austell Fire and Police departments gathered before the meeting to celebrate the two men’s accomplishments.
