The historic Mable House belonged to Scottish native, Robert Mable, and was used as Mableton's first school and as a field hospital for federal troops during the Civil War. Private tours of the home and property are available.

The arts complex on the property offers music and art classes, storytelling festivals, gallery exhibits and more. The South Cobb Arts Alliance helps lead many of the events at the complex.

In the late 1970s, local residents raised funds to establish a small outdoor, natural amphitheatre with a portable stage. In 2000, then-Gov. Roy Barnes contacted the Cobb County Board of Commissioners to request a facility be constructed and provided a grant to do so.

The amphitheatre seats more than 2,000 people. No smoking and no pets are allowed at the amphitheatre.
