Nativity to Come to Life in Austell

Living Nativity event to feature caroling, children's crafts, soup and cider.

From Austell Presbyterian Church:

Since 1957, wise men, shepherds, angels and a good portion of the Atlanta community have gathered on Love Street in Austell to see the baby Jesus.  It is the annual Living Nativity at Austell Presbyterian Church Dec. 20-22 from 7 to 8 p.m.

This year the tableau will feature special music each night. Friday evening, the church’s children led by Lynda Pearce will be caroling. Saturday evening, local gospel singer Tony Peace and friends will be on hand to present special music. On Sunday, the Austell Chancel Choir will be featured.

After viewing the nativity, the community is invited to tour the 122 year-old decorated sanctuary as well as enjoy cider and soup in the warmth of Kirk Hall. This year also features a fire pit and children’s crafts.

“Almost every member of our church turns out to be in the nativity, sing or provide hospitality. We love to share this event with everyone in the community," said Austell Presbyterian’s pastor Dave Pearce.
