Three South Cobb Nonprofits Honored by Wells Fargo

The banking company also announces $1.5 million in giving through United Way and Community Support campaign.

Delivered Vessels, Girl Scouts of Atlanta in Mableton and Top of the Line Residential Care and Development are the three South Cobb organizations among the 39 Cobb groups honored by Wells Fargo Tuesday.

The groups were honored at a breakfast held at he Mansour Center in Marietta as part of the banking company's "Days of Giving" program. The company has chosen 235 nonprofits as reicipients of $1,000 grants in the third year of the company’s Days of Giving program in Metro Atlanta.

“Just the names of many groups say so much,” said Jim Lawrence, Wells Fargo’s community bank president for Cobb.  “We are proud to reach so many groups and people through this.”

Additionally, Atlanta employees of the company pledged or gave $937,000 through its annual Way and Community Support campaign, 10 percent more than last year.  Wells Fargo is also making a $600,000 corporate contribution to the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta.

“Wells Fargo has a long proud history of community involvement and local decision making,” said Gary Davis, business banking area manager for Cobb.  “Days of Giving is the ideal representation of that and we look forward to celebrating our communities in this way for years to come.”
