'Shop with a Cop' Makes Christmas Merry for South Cobb Kids

The annual "Shop with a Cop" event, now called Cops with Kids, was held at Target on Austell Road in Austell on Thursday morning.

Dozens of public safety personnel, elves and even Santa came out for the 24th annual "Shop with a Cop" event, now called the "Cops & Kids" program, at Target in Austell on Thursday morning.

The event helps about 150 children in the Cobb community have an opportunity to shop with about $125 each for gifts and clothing for the holidays.

The event is hosted by the Cobb County Lodge of the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Kermit Sanders Lodge #13 and is sponsored by Chick-Fil-A, Martin's restaurants and Hooters International.
