Born Again Blessings Consignment Sale

What: Children's and maternity clothing, shoes, toys, nursery items, baby equipment, furniture and more will be available at Born Again Blessings bi-annual children’s consignment sale benefiting the Barnabas fund at Riverstone Church.

Where: Cobb Civic Center - 548 S. Marietta Parkway in Marietta

Back to School Christian Concert

What: Top Christian performers–Britt Nicole, David Crowder and Matthew West– will all perform as part of a Back to School Concert

Where: The Southern Star Amphitheater at Six Flags Over Georgia.

When: 5-9 p.m.

Cost: All concerts are FREE with park admission.

What: "Celebration! Library Stars" is the Cobb County Public Library System celebration of the end of the summer and the community is invited  for fun activities, music, crafts, and more.

Artwork from the Hero in Me program will be on display, and videos from the Triple D Production Company will be available to view. We'll also be announcing the winners of the iPad 2 and the Sony eReaders.

Smyrna's 140th Birthday Celebration

What: A celebration of 140 years of cityhood with McEntyre’s birthday cake, live music by Banks and Shane and Smokey’s Farmland Band and fireworks.

Where: Smyrna Village Green, 200 Village Green Circle

When: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Cost: Free

Sunday

What: Mutt Madness will have dogs like Mulligan, Tucker, Lady, Max, Spencer and Albie available for adoption. Come by and spend a little time - they love the interaction - take them for a walk around the block!

When: 1 p.m.

Cost: Free to attend
