Register for Chicken Run, Help Those in Need

In its 10th year, proceeds from the event go to CAMP, which provides food, clothing and financial assistance to help stabilize families and prevent homelessness.

It's time to slip on your running (or walking) shoes, South Cobb.

In its 10th year, the Spring Chicken Run benefits Austell's CAMP (Christian Aid Mission Partnership), which provides food, clothing and financial assistance to help stabilize families and prevent homelessness.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, March 24 at 8:30 a.m. at .

You can register online or by mail. The prices are:

  • 5K Run/Walk—$20 pre-registration, $25 after March 20 and day of race
  • 1 Mile Run/Walk—$15
  • Spirit Walk—Minimum total pledges of $20
  • Phantom Runner (can't make the race but still want to contribute)—$20
