Get Ready for the South Cobb Throwdown Showdown

Cobb Schools Foundation along with Credit Union of Georgia and Days Chevrolet in Acworth are teaming up to present the Throwdown Showdown.  The event will take place at high school football games around the county through October and benefits Cobb schools, students and teachers. The first Throwdown Showdown is the South Cobb versus Wheeler high school football game on Friday at at 7:30 p.m.

The Throwdown Showdown is a raffle-based contest in which one lucky winner will receive a $100 gift card to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse and the chance to win a brand new Chevy Silverado by throwing a Nerf football through the window of a truck. 

Their motto is, “If it’s in it, you win it!”

Proceeds from the event help the Foundation provide grants to teachers, scholarships to graduating seniors, after school program scholarships to kids in need and much more.
