Waylon Kimble, former South Cobb High football player, was named honorable mention for All-American Team.

“Waylon made the most of the opportunity with the position switch last season,” said Allen. “He missed all of spring practice this year, but if he comes in and hits the ground running during preseason, he could have a truly outstanding year for us this fall.”

Kimble, a senior from Austell, enjoyed the most productive season of his UWG career in 2010. After beginning the season as a cornerback, he moved to the safety position and finished the year with six interceptions. His overall total was third best in the Gulf South Conference, and he ranked second in the GSC with .60 interceptions per game.
