Whitefield Academy’s boys’ basketball team lost their Class A state semifinal match-up against Terrell County 66-63 this past Wednesday at the Macon Centreplex.

In a rematch of last year’s semifinal game against Terrell County, in which Whitefield came out victorious, the Wolfpack were on the wrong end of a controversial call that ultimately decided the fate of this ball game. Whitefield was called for a back-court violation, but the television replays showed that not to be the case. Whitefield ends their impressive season at 28-4.

In baseball, the school split a pair with North Atlanta, losing 3-2 on March 7, only to turn around the next day and record a 13-3 win. Whitefield’s game on March 9 versus King’s Ridge was rained out. The Wolfpack (4-4) have a busy week with four games on the schedule: home against Strong Rock Christian, Tuesday, March 15 at 5 p.m., at Campbell, Thursday, March 17 at 5 p.m., at Our Lady of Mercy, Friday, March 18 at 4:30 p.m. and home versus St. Francis, Saturday, March 19 at noon.
