South Cobb Debate Team Wins Again

The school's first debate team is off to a great start.

The South Cobb Debate Team won again in competition on Saturday, Jan. 21, at home.  South Cobb High School hosted the Atlanta Urban Debate Competition, hosting debaters from all around metro Atlanta.  South Cobb staff members and Emory University students participated in the event as organizers, trainers, and judges.

The team, coached by Mrs. Natalie Hope, won the First Place Sweepstakes award for highest achievement.  It was a wonderful event, and one to remember.  Students from elementary, middle and high schools competed, assembling facts and presenting arguments.  The South Cobb Debate Team participates in competitions throughout the metro area.  This is their second win in this year’s competitions.
