Pebblebrook High will now be able to stream sporting events and school activities now that it has recently joined the NFHS Network School Broadcast Program.
The program allows participating schools to produce and stream TV-like sporting events and school activities for live and on demand viewing via an individualized school video portal on the NFHS Network at www.NFHSNetwork.com. Ninety-five schools in Georgia participate the School Broadcast Program.
The program is usually part of a broadcast class curriculum or afterschool club, and provides students training and live production experience. It also provides participating high schools with new opportunities to generate revenue through advertising and sponsorships.
“Georgia high schools have a unique opportunity to be part of the NFHS Network with all of its educational benefits and opportunities for exposure,”
says Mark Rothberg, Director of the Sports Broadcast Program, in a press release. “Families, alumni and the community can now follow their favorite students, activities and teams easily from wherever they are. We are thrilled to share the excitement of Georgia sports and activities to a wider audience through the NFHS Network.”
The video portals for schools participating in the program can be found by searching the school’s name in the “school” drop down menu at www.NFHSNetwork.com/GA.
