Morgan to Participate in Town Hall Meeting at Imagine Mableton Tonight

Cobb school board member David Morgan, who serves South Cobb, will talk with Imagine Mableton parents, students and staff tonight.

Beginning at 6:30 tonight, the school will hold a town hall meeting with board member David Morgan, who represents South Cobb.

In a summer email to parents, IIAM Principal Dr. Marcus Barber stated, "In closing I quote, 'To whom much is given much is required.'  In the 2010-2011, we were given a Private School Atmosphere at a Public School price.  The 2011-2012  school year will require us to be more involved than in the past in order for us to continually improve."

The actual vote on the school’s charter renewal will take place at the BOE’s Sept. 29 regular meeting at 7 p.m. in the Cobb County School District’s main office at 517 Glover Street in Marietta.

Correction: The BOE's work session was on Wednesday and not Tuesday. Also, Dr. Michael Hinojosa did not recommend approval of Imagine Mableton's charter. The board has not yet made formal recommendations.
