Van Bemmel Named Whitefield Academy's Upper School Principal

The dual master-degree educator joins Whitefield Academy's leadership team.

This week, Whitefield Academy named Jason Van Bemmel the principal of the Upper School at the college-preparatory private PreK-4 to 12 school with a South Cobb location in the Mableton area.

“Jason has an educator’s mind and a pastor’s heart, making him the perfect candidate for this pivotal role in the future of our students and their educational journey,” said Dr. Kevin Bracher, Whitefield Academy's interim headmaster.

Van Bemmel’s vocation has included positions of increasing responsibility from the classroom teaching American government, British literature, Latin and worldviews, to management team experience as the head of a Christ-centered school in Maryland that doubled in size during his eight years of leadership. His legacy includes rigorous curriculum development, and the genesis of a competitive athletics program. He empowered, led, trained, and supervised 40 members of a dynamic team.

Van Bemmel has leveraged his mind and heart to meet his calling of service to children in stimulating academic environments.

Dr. Bracher continued, “The Whitefield Academy community is excited about welcoming Jason and his family to our school, and benefitting from his exceptional skills and inspirational talent as we grow our Upper School program.”
