The teachers, who do not have education degrees but receive ongoing specialized training by Teach for America, would cost the district a total of $200,000–$8,000 for each two-year contract.

Both Cobb School Board member David Morgan and Hinojosa told the board and the public that they had promises from external donors, who would cover the cost if the proposal were approved by the board.
