Graduation Rates of South Cobb and Pebblebrook Among County's Lowest

Graduation rates for South Cobb High and Pebblebrook High are third and fourth lowest in the county.

Using a more uniform formula to calculate the amount of students who finish high school in four years, the graduation rates for Georgia have been rereleased, and the new numbers are much lower than originally reported. The graduation rates for South Cobb area high schools are among the lowest in the county and are below the state average.

The state first announced the state's overall graduation rate as 80 percent, but with the new calculation, that number is more like 67 percent. For more about the adjusted rates, read this report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
