Paxen Learning Corporation has partnered with CobbWorks to offer the youth of Cobb County an accelerated, five-week GED program. Classes begin every five weeks and enrollment is ongoing. Participants are eligible to receive up to $600 in daily support payments and other incentives, including a $250 upon successful completion of the GED test.
To be eligible, Cobb County residents must be between the ages of 17 and 21 and face a barrier such as low income, pregnancy or parenting, homelessness and other issues.
Classes are five days a week, Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Upon completion of the program, participants receive further assistance finding jobs and/or enrolling in military or college.
