Community Adult Bible Study:NON-DENOMINATIONAL (See Photos!  no pre-registration needed)  Rise, let us be on our way.—John 14:31
“All the water in all the oceans cannot sink a ship unless it gets inside.  Nor can all the trouble in the world harm us unless it gets within us……God guards you from every evil.   None of the things that happen to you, none of the troubles you encounter, have any power to get between you and God, dilute His grace in you, OR divert His Will from you."

(Romans 8:28,31,32 & Psalm 121)   E. H. Peterson—Providence

"COMMUNITY BIBLE STUDY" Come!  Let your voice be heard and heart lifted.  With God's verses and our voices; this study is designed to guide us in aligning the words of our mouths with the Word of God. One verse leads to another; all verses lead to God. Starting promptly at 9:00 and ending promptly at 10:00 a.m.,  it is a non-denominational, no frills opportunity to explore, uncover, unblock, and empower our gifts through the lens of the Bible.  Come not as a student of the leader but a student of the Holy Spirit.   We are facilitating Faith. Jesus is the Master teacher.  A place of fellowship, refuge, research, and renewal as we explore, discover, and activate our gifts as God has planned for our lives.  Jeremiah 29:11 is our anchor verse.  Romans 12:1 & 2 is our purpose.  Renewing our minds and unblocking our gifts, together.  The purpose is to align the words of our mouth to agree with The Word of God (Bible). That is the purpose of Bible Study....All adults welcome!! (While the photos show us eating; it was a special occasion.  Expect 60 minutes of the Word.  If you must, BYO Beverage only.)

"We live out our lives here on earth tethered to heaven by the umbilical cord of the Holy Spirit, guided by the teachings of Jesus and his apostles, and expectant that God's promises will surely come to pass."  Dr. Ralph F. Wilson--ON LINE BIBLE STUDY:  http://www.jesuswalk.com/2corinthians/06_faith.htm

"Sometimes God heals us in response to the prayer of faith other times He takes us to heaven...Our faith is not based on what we get, it’s based on who we trust. " (See Jas 5:14), See full devotional: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
"Women whose husbands die lose 75 percent of their friendships; 60 percent experience health issues, one-third are clinically depressed one year later, and most face financial hardship. As one pastor says, “Widows move from the front row of the church to the back, and then out the door. They go from serving and singing in the choir, to solitude and silent sobbing.” God cares so much about widows He mentions them over one hundred times in Scripture. He’s a “defender of widows” (Ps 68:5 NIV); He “watches over… and sustains [them]” (Ps 146:9 NIV). James says, “Religion that God…accepts as pure and faultless is…to look after…widows.” Miriam Neff adds: “No one can comfort a widow like another widow…when we see another woman enter this experience…we want to comfort her…While the need for financial support and help…is common, the need for connection is more pressing…we need believing friends near us.” See full devotional: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
"Be careful around people who don’t value themselves, because they’re incapable of valuing you...When you encounter somebody who says you have nothing to offer, be sure to laugh; it’s impolite to hear a joke and not laugh...So stop entertaining contrary opinions. You have so much potential that the word “possibility” is written all over you...get your eyes on the future! The God Who brought you this far will take you the rest of the way; He’s committed to you. Just make sure you’re committed to Him." See full devotional: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
"Be strong; God is fighting for you. You must know God, know your convictions, and know how to tap into God’s unlimited power. You are not who you, or anyone else thinks…God says you are strong. Believe Him! Take heart. Don’t let your pain shut you down. Take the broken pieces and offer them to God…choose to live with love...Put no stock in emotion, circumstances, or chitchat…Place your hopes and dreams at the altar… God makes all things new and possible." "What happens when the job outgrows them? Sometimes we give people jobs because we can’t find anybody else to do them. There’s more at stake here than sparing somebody’s feelings. Your fear of confrontation will permit people to languish in the wrong slot, slowing down the vision and discouraging the gifted folks around you who keep wondering, “How long are you going to put up with this?” See full devotional: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
"Earning the right to lead calls for asking yourself: (1) Can I live with the results of this decision? Before you launch out into something be sure you have what it takes to handle it. If you can barely cope now, how will you handle more..Is the return worth the investment..Are my expectations realistic..(4) How can I survive today in order to thrive tomorrow? Obstacles and opposition are inevitable; they’re part of the journey." See full devotional: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php

is reminded that it's written that Jesus Christ of Nazareth as a boy went to the Temple to test the teachers with questions and then teach them with His answers (Luke 2:46-47) instead of being taught by them. This is why we should choose to be ever mindful of WDJW ( http://WDJW.net ) instead of WWJD if we wish to put on His righteousness as we should.
"You are not the first person to trust God; you won’t be the last...Faith answers the question, “How?” in one word: “God!” Faith is a “substance.” Faith is also “evidence.” See full devotional: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
"Even if we make mistakes, God’s big enough to turn them around. When regret becomes unGodly sorrow versus Godly sorrow, you find yourself submerged in self-pity instead of looking to Him to work things out for the good of ‘those…he has called according to his purpose’” (See Ro 8:28). "There are three ways to sin:Commission, Omission, & Disposition (1) Commission: the things we do. (2) Omission: the good we fail to do. (3) Disposition: our wrong attitudes." See full devotional: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
Pride is dangerous; it forces you to lie needlessly in a helpless state for days - and sometimes years. If you’d asked for help immediately, you could have gotten up and gone on with your life.” Proverbs 14:12 says, “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is…death” (NKJV). See full devotional: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
"Don’t give your emotions a vote. Begin to love boldly and live robustly. Nothing fosters courage like a clear grasp of grace. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1Jn 1:9 NKJV). Note the words, “All unrighteousness.” Having received God’s forgiveness, live forgiven!" See full devotional: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
"There is no such thing as a hopeless situation. Every single circumstance of your life can change!" ~Rhonda Byrne

The Blame Game! God holds you responsible for your decisions & actions. Your failure to make the right decision, or take the right action, also earns you His guilty verdict. Paul writes, “You cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant” Others may be guilty of offending you, and that’s their harvest to reap. But your harvest depends on your reactions. Accepting responsibility before God is how you alleviate your guilt, discouragement and stress..." (See Ro 2:6). (Gal 6:7 NLT). "God can do nothing with people who won’t take responsibility for their decisions...It makes you a victim and It makes you miserable... See full devotional: "http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
"Blaming creates enemies. Blaming rubs off. Blamers beget blamers. It’s time to give up the blame game, own responsibility for your life, and take back your God-given power to respond to things according to His Word!" See full devotional: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
"To carry God’s presence, we’ve got to do it His way."..Somebody thought up “a better way,” so they put it on a new cart pulled by an ox. And that’s when everything went wrong...When the ark started to slip off the cart, a well-meaning bystander decided to steady it. And he died for it! You say, “That’s pretty extreme.” There’s a lesson here for those who want to package God’s presence, market it, and “take it on the road.” If we are going to carry God’s presence and build His church, we’ve got to do it His way." See full devotional: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
"When you are in right standing with God He will go before you and fight your battles. And the great thing is, God has never lost a battle...when you seek God’s guidance and listen to Him, you won’t get it wrong...Could you use more victory, more guidance, and more prosperity? Spend time in God’s presence, and then carry it with you wherever you go." Source: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
"If your faith is “me-centered,” you’ll get nowhere with God. But when your faith is “Christ-centered,” then everything Christ has becomes available to you!" See more: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
“Is anything too difficult for God?” No! So: trust God to provide for you; do what He tells you to do; believe that God “will.” (Jer 32:27). (Pr 27:26-27 NIV). See more: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
"LOSE THE CLUTTER! The clutter you need to lose includes: believing that you’re alone, trying to please everybody, feeling insecure, putting yourself down, needing everybody to like you, jumping to negative conclusions before you know the facts, thinking you’re always right, recalling all the times you messed up, wanting to know how it all turns out, needing to have all the answers, worrying that if you let go of the memorabilia you’ll lose the memories, agonizing that you’re not rich enough, good enough or smart enough, surrounding yourself with people who remember the bad times and not the good, making energy-sucking comparisons, viewing life like a movie instead of participating, believing that your best days are over, waiting at all times for the right moment, fearing you will look foolish, focusing on negative type-casting…and anything else you don’t want to pass on to your kids. How can you get rid of the clutter? “Let the Spirit renew your…attitudes.” See more: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
"I see God in all people everywhere. The heartbeat of all humankind is the heart of the Divine. Thank you, God, that I am free to express the real me, which is a part of all that is good, which is one with you...I bless and praise the wonders of God’s creation. " "I will sing and make melody to the Lord."—Psalm 27:6 See full devotional: http://www.dailyword.com/dailyword/god-action-monday-june-10-2013
"So, let’s stop and think about your job. Your value on the job is determined by the value you add to the job. . The first two “went and traded with them, and gained.” They showed skill, initiative, and made 100 percent profit; they were commended by their employer. But the third man just punched the clock, called in sick, didn’t train, try, dare, or do. So his job review didn’t go too well....make your company profitable, and enjoy the work you do. " See all: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
"Somebody is looking. Somebody is keeping track. It is worth it! You are the one who makes your work significant - not the other way round. When you discover the gifts God has given you and the passions He has placed within you, and put them to work in the service of values you deeply believe in - you are “working for God” in the truest sense. So each day ask God to make your work go well. And try to identify the larger picture in your work that makes it a “calling.” See more: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
“Treat failure as a visitor; it teaches us things we can’t learn any other way…don’t let it take up residence. Remember, all failures aren’t equal. It’s a matter of perspective…Failure teaches us what’s important.." See all: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
"God is committed to His Word, not to your interpretation of it...Try to understand the context. No Scripture stands in isolation, but should be read in conjunction with every other Scripture on the same topic. If you isolate “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Php 4:13 NKJV), believing “all things” includes leaping from a twelfth-story window, don’t blame God’s Word for your unexpected demise! ...This Scripture doesn’t mean you can do anything you want, but that God will enable you to get through anything you encounter while doing His will.... Test Scripture by Scripture, not by your own desires...Some Bible promises are universal in application, and some are personal.... " See more: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
"There has never been an easy time to raise kids, but it’s harder today.” Parent, if living in your dream home and climbing the ladder of success means losing your children, you’ll regret it. You’ve only one chance to get it right. “These commandments that I give you today…Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” (vv. 6-7 NIV). Please see all here: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
“Your home is a classroom. How do you teach your children about healthy self-esteem while not training them to be self-focused? ”Your home is a classroom. What you teach them there, they will take with them into the rest of their lives...You can’t undo the past, but with God’s help you can give your children the future they deserve. But it must become one of your highest priorities." See full devotional: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php
"The culture will often take your kids to hell....Parent, your children are being caught in life’s storms. They are rowing in the dark with no sense of direction. Live for God, and give them a light they can steer by!" See full devotional: http://www.bobgass.com/todaysword.php ”
"God is the ultimate general; before He puts you into battle He puts you into boot camp....if you pass the test you get to wear the uniform. You will face three levels of attack...When you worry, you don’t trust God. When you trust God, you don’t have to worry. The choice is yours."
