Cobb-Marietta Marching Band Fest Kicks Off Tonight

Several of Cobb's public high school bands will perform tonight with the Auburn University Marching Band. The county's remaining high school bands and the University of Georgia Redcoat Marching Band will be featured next week.

The Cobb County School District has provided details on the Cobb-Marietta Marching Band Exhibition at McEachern High School, which kicks off tonight. 

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. Children 4 and under are admitted free if accompanied by parents. For information, call Natalie Feller or Chris Ferrell at 770-426-3404: 


Young musicians from across Cobb County will put their collective talents on display at the annual Cobb-Marietta Marching Band Exhibition tonight and Tuesday, Oct. 1.

Featuring performances from each high school in the Cobb County School District and Marietta High School, the exhibition takes place at McEachern High School’s Walter Cantrell Stadium in Powder Springs and begins at 7 p.m. each night. 

The Auburn University Marching Band will provide a closing performance for the Sept. 24 exhibition and the University of Georgia Redcoat Marching Band will entertain the crowd Oct. 1. 

Tonight: 

  • Campbell, South Cobb, Osborne, Allatoona, Wheeler, McEachern, North Cobb, Walton, Lassiter and Auburn University.


Tuesday, Oct. 1: 

  • Marietta, Pebblebrook, Sprayberry, Pope, Kell, Hillgrove, Kennesaw Mountain, Harrison, University of Georgia.
