Austell Seeks Input on Millage Rate

The council will adopt the millage rate immediately after a July 22 public hearing.

Mayor Joe Jerkins and members of the Austell City Council want to hear from you before they set the 2013 millage rate.

That is why they have scheduled a public hearing at 6 p.m. July 22 at Austell City Hall, 2716 Broad St. SW.

The city wants to maintain the rate of 4 mills. Residents can view the five year history of Austell's Tax Digest on the city's website.

The council will adopt the millage rate immediately after the public hearing.
