Woman Answers Knock at Door, Robbed at Gunpoint

An armed man robbed a business when a woman working alone answered a knock at the door.

Cobb police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Tuesday at 10:10 p.m. at a business on Veterans Memorial Highway in Mableton.

A female employee of Royal Vending Company was working alone when she heard a knock at the door.

The suspect, armed with a handgun, forced himself inside the business once the woman opened the door.

He demanded that she give him cash, and after he received it, he fled in what the victim described as a gold, older model, "long" car, according to a release from Cobb police.

The car may possible be a Cadillac.

The victim was unharmed in the incident.

The suspect is described as a medium-build African-American man, who is 5'7" with collar-length dreadlocks. He is described as being in his late teens to early 20s.
