Warrant: Confrontation About Porn Turns Violent

Robert Ellis Eassey was arrested Thursday.

A confrontation about pornographic images on a Mableton man's computer escalated to the point of physical violence, Cobb police said.

When Robert Ellis Eassey's fiancee asked him about the images on his email account about 11 p.m. July 22, Eassey allegedly picked her up by the arms and threw her against a wall, according to an arrest warrant.

He also took her cell phone, "her only means of calling for help during and after the assault had occurred," according to the warrant.

Eassey's fiancee had "visible bruising" to her arms, elbows and back and was "emotionally scared for her well being and that of her two year old child," authorities said.

Eassey was arrested about 10:30 p.m. Thursday at his Park Drive residence on one count each of battery and obstructing or hindering persons making an emergency telephone call. He was released Friday night on $5,000 bond.
