Warrant: Cobb Employee Falsifies Workers' Comp Claims

He is wanted on one count each of insurance fraud and workers' compensation benefits fraud.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a county employee who allegedly filed false workers' compensation claims nearly three years ago.

Between Sept. 21 and Sept. 30, 2010, Olumide Hakeem Adeolu allegedly filed the claims with Cobb County and Delta Air Lines on the same day, according to the warrant.

The Cobb claim was filed at 5600 Mulberry St., according to the warrant. That is the same address as Austell Primary School.

Though he claimed injury to the same body part, authorities allege that Adeolu "told the Delta representative and the Delta physician that the had no prior injuries to his wrist from his Cobb County job," according to the warrant. "As such, the entire Cobb County claim was falsified. ... He lied to his Cobb County employer and to the Cobb County authorized treating physician in order to obtain benefits or payment."

Adelou faces one count each of insurance fraud and workers' compensation benefits fraud.
