UPDATE: Woman Found Dead in Austell Home is Identified, So is Suspect
Police identify woman found dead in Austell home and identify a suspect in her killing.
A woman found dead by Cobb Police in her Austell home Thursday has been identified as 36-year-old Decarla Lomax, according to a report from Cobb Police.
Police have charged Deron Maurice Williams, 37, with murder and with aggravated assault. He is currently being held without bond at the Cobb County Jail.
Lomax was found in her home at about 9:50 a.m. on Elm Street in the Village Mobile Home Park on Six Flags Road by police, who responded to a call "regarding the welfare of a female," according to a police report.
