Supects from South Cobb Burglary Ring Arrested

After committing a series of burglaries of small business along Floyd Road and nearby, Cobb police arrested some of the suspects.

After , five of seven burglary ring suspects have been arrested.

Precinct 2 officers from the overnight shift recruited the assistance of the TAC and VIPER unit to help catch the burglars.

On their first night as a team, one officer noticed a suspicious vehicle speeding down Mableton Parkway, Lt. Carole King stated in a recent email notification.

When the officer tried to pull the car over, the driver drove into an apartment complex where four men jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot.

Police immediately apprehended one of the vehicle's passengers and found items from two different business burglaries inside the car. They called property detectives at their homes to respond.

Within hours, police arrested the driver of the vehicle and identified an additional passenger.

In the days that followed, Precinct 2 officers sorted through the information gained since the arrest.

As of Thursday, seven men have been identified in connection with the rash of burglaries and five of them have been arrested. Warrants have been obtained for the two who remain at large.
