Shots Fired During Dollar General Robbery

No one was injured during the incident.

Shots were fired but there were no injuries during a Sunday robbery at the Dollar General on Six Flags Drive in Austell.

Cobb Police are investigating the incident that occurred at 710 Six Flags Drive.

According to investigators, an armed man entered the store and began demanding money from employees. When the employees had trouble opening the cash register, the perpetrator fired two shots from a handgun into the front counter.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5’08”-5’10” tall and being “dark skinned with a medium to heavy build.” He was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweat shirt, light-colored blue jeans and red, white and black sneakers. He had on white gloves and an American flag bandana covering his face.
