Shot Fired During CVS Robbery in Austell

Perpetrators demanded prescription drugs and money.

The Cobb County Police Department is investigating an armed robbery and aggravated assault that happened Thursday at CVS, 800 East-West Connector, Austell.

According to a press release from the department, an armed male and female entered the store and began demanding prescription drugs and money from employees.  

Within moments of doing so, both perpetrators fled the business when an alarm was activated. Before leaving the store, the male perpetrator fired a shot from his weapon into the floor as the female sprayed an employee with pepper spray.  Both fled on foot in an unknown direction.

The man is described as black male, 5’08” tall, approximately 20-29 years of age with a thin build.  e had a goatee and stubble and was last seen wearing a red T-shirt with a long-sleeve black shirt underneath. He also had on a navy ball cap with a red logo or writing on it. He wore brown boots, dark grey jeans and had a black glove on his right hand. He was carrying a backpack.

The female is described as black female, 5’00-5’02” tall, approximately 18-23 years of age with a thin build. She was last seen wearing a grey hoodie with white writing on it. She also had on a pink shirt, white pants, black shoes and a black “doo-rag” on her head (with the knot in the front).
