Police Offer $2,000 for Info on Lollipop Bandit

Cobb police are seeking additional info about a man who robbed the Wells Fargo bank in Mableton and subsequently robbed a Regions bank in Marietta.

Cobb police are offering a $2,000 to anyone who has information that can help them capture the man now being called the Lollipop Bandit.

The man robbed the bank on Floyd Road in Mableton on , he sucked on a lollipop.

After the robbery in Marietta, the suspect fled on foot and is believed to have gotten into an older-model Toyota Corolla that was white or silver, spokesman Officer Michael Bowman said in a news release.

The robber is a 5-foot-9 brown-skinned African-American man, who was wearing a black do-rag, khaki shorts and large, black-brown-and-white sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the incidents is asked to call Cobb police at (770) 499-3945.
