UPDATE: Missing Girl Returned Home Safely

Mentally disabled teenager left her home early Sunday night after a verbal argument with a parent.

Update: 11:05 a.m.

Smyrna Police report that Erica Giles has been returned home "safe and sound." The Mattie's Call is canceled.

The is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a mentally disabled teenager who left her home early Sunday evening.

Erica Candies Giles, 17 was last seen at 6:15 p.m. leaving her residence on Falling Water Drive on foot. According to Officer Mike Smith, she is a black female, 5-foot-6, 125 pounds, with brown eyes and black braided hair.

She was last seen wearing a blue or black spaghetti top with white shorts and barefoot. The teenager had reportedly gotten into a verbal argument with her mother before running out of the house.

According to Smith, a Mattie's Call Alert was issued because she is mentally disabled. Anyone with any information about Erica’s location is asked to call Smyrna Police Det. Ron Eaton at 770-434-6666 or 678-631-5169.
