Motorcyclist Killed in South Cobb

Cobb police believe alcohol may have been a factor in the accident. The driver was not wearing a helmet.

UPDATE: Cobb police report that Robert Clark, 56, of Mableton died from injuries he suffered in an motorcycle accident near the Y-intersection of Dodgen Road and Allen Road in Mableton early Saturday morning. Police believe alcohol may have contributed to the accident. Clark was not wearing a helmet.

The accident occurred around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, May 26. Cobb police said Clark lost control of his Kawasaki ZX 1400 CBF while attempting to make a curve. He was thrown from the bike when it struck a culvert on the north side of roadway. 

A Cobb police officer performed CPR on Clark until he was transported to Wellstar South Cobb Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
