Missing Cobb Man Found Safe

A Mattie's Call was issued for Lovell McClanahan late Friday.

Cobb Police said late this morning that Lovell McClanahan was discovered safe in the Kennesaw area and was in good health. He has been reunited with his family, Officer Michael Bowman said in a release at 11:15 a.m.

Cobb Police have issued a Mattie's Call for an East Cobb man who has gone missing since a doctor's appointment Thursday afternoon. 

Officer Michael Bowman said late Friday night that Lovell McClanahan, 67, did not return to his home on High Green Drive in the Indian Hills area after visiting a doctor's office located in the 1600 block of Mulkey Road in Austell, near WellStar Cobb Hospital.

Bowman said McClanahan has numerous medical ailments and is without his medication.

McClanahan is a white male, 5-foot-10 and 155 pounds. He was last seen wearing a tan fleece jacket, orange polo shirt, blue jeans and black shoes. Bowman said he was seen driving a silver 2011 Ford Escape with the Georgia tag DP1PVA.

Anyone with information about McClanahan's whereabouts should call local law enforcement by dialing 9-1-1.
