Man Shot To Death On Six Flags Parkway

Police seek two suspects.

Two suspected killers remain on the loose Saturday following the shooting death of a 20-year-old man in Austell.

Joseph Owens was shot on Six Flags Parkway, outside the West Chase Apartments, Cobb County Police told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The shooting occured at about 10:30 p.m. Friday.

The victim who ran and collapsed at a nearby filling station, was later pronounced dead at Grady Memorial Hospital, the newspaper reported.

Police say the two suspects, both black, are:

  1. 18 to 24 years old, between 5'9" and 5'11" with a light complexion and thin build and wearing dread locks. He was wearing a black tee-shirt and jeans.
  2. 18 to 20 years old, between 5'8" and 5'10" with a medium complexion and thin build. He wore his hair in twists and had a pierced eyebrow. He was last seen dressed in a white tank top and jeans.
