Mableton Student Arrested for Sexting

A 17-year-old from Mableton has been arrested and charged with obscene material, a misdemeanor, after Smyrna police say he texted lewd photos to three juvenile girls, WSB reported.

The student, who attends a Smyrna high school, was released from the Cobb County Adult Detention Center the day after his arrest on $5,000 bond.

Neither a representative from the Smyrna Police Department nor Cobb County School District could be reached for further comment at this posting.
