A Mableton man who has been in the county jail since April faces a new charge in connection with an August 2012 burglary in Smyrna.

About 9:45 p.m. Aug. 18, 2012, Carlton Craig Brownlee allegedly crawled through the window of a room at the Baymont Inn and Suites after he broke the latch, according to an arrest warrant.

After gaining access to the room, Brownlee allegedly removed a 32-inch Samsung flat screen television. As he crawled out of the window with the TV, he injured himself and left blood on the curtains, according to an arrest warrant.

The evidence was sent to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab, which found that the blood belonged to Brownlee, according to the warrant.

"There is also video evidence showing the crime being committed," according to the warrant.

In addition to the latest burglary charge, Brownlee faces six other charges that range from cruelty to children to obstruction.
