Mableton Man Gets Life Without Parole for Eighth Felony

Nkoma Antoine Morgan is convicted of armed robber, aggravated battery and other charges.

A Mableton man will serve life without parole after being convicted of his eighth felony, according to District Attorney Vic Reynolds.  

A Cobb jury on Thursday convicted Nkoma Antoine Morgan, 32, of armed robbery, aggravated battery, burglary, and drug and firearms charges. This was his first conviction in Cobb County.

The charges stemmed from an April 2011 attack on an employee of a tree service at its office on River View Road in Mableton, during which Morgan beat a man severely while demanding money.

Chief Assistant District Attorney Don Geary prosecuted the case for the state.

Due to Morgan’s history of felony convictions in other counties, he was sentenced to life without parole, plus 20 years. He is already serving a 10-year sentence for drug convictions in Douglas County.
