Mableton Man Faces Child Molestation Charges

One of the alleged incidents occurred nearly seven years ago.

A Mableton man is in the county jail in lieu of $100,000 bond on several charges of child molestation.

One of the alleged incidents dates back as far as Sept. 15, 2006. The juvenile in that incident was seven years old when Brandon Jefferson Marshall Sr. summoned her to the kitchen and asked "her if she wanted some candy," a Cobb police officer wrote in a criminal warrant.

Once the girl from Austell was in the kitchen, Marshall allegedly pulled down his pants and told the girl that "he had a lollipop for her to suck on," the officer wrote.

The latest incident involving a 13-year-old Mableton girl occurred on Oct. 1, 2012, records show.

"Accused did ask the child if she would take nude photographs of herself for money if he won a card game," the officer wrote in the warrant. Marshall also asked the girl if she wanted him to perform a sex act on her.
