Cops: Mableton Woman Threw Rock, Stick at 'Vampire'

The incident occurred last Monday in the 600 block of Lions Club Drive.

A Mableton woman allegedly threw a rock at a woman she believed to be a vampire.

Altoria Joyce Lovejoy denied throwing anything at the woman just before 1 p.m. last Tuesday, but said "that she did have 'to kick her up off of her' ... because (she) is a vampire and bites the accused's neck," according to a Cobb County criminal warrant.

Cobb County police found no bite marks on her neck or other injuries on Lovejoy, who was arrested on charges of simple assault and criminal trespass.

According to the warrant, as the woman tried to leave the scene in the 600 block of Lions Club Drive, Lovejoy allegedly went into her apartment, got a long T-shaped wooden stick and threw it at the woman's vehicle as she pulled away.

The stick struck the vehicle's rear bumper.

"The wooden stick was sitting next to the accused door when I arrived on scene," the officer wrote in the warrant.
