Cooking Grease, Toothpaste Used in Mableton Domestic Dispute

The incident occurred early Saturday.

Mableton residents Joe C. Bailey and Latoya Deneen Hampton got into an argument early Saturday.

A Cobb County criminal warrant does not mention how the argument started, only that it was intense.

Cobb police said as their three children listened in a bedroom, Bailey and Hampton didn't just hurl vulgarities at one another. Bailey allegedly poured cooking grease on Hampton. And Hampton allegedly poured toothpaste on Bailey.

They were arrested Saturday on similar charges: one count of simple battery and one county of cruelty to children in the third degree.

Bailey was released from the Cobb County Adult Detention Center the same day on a $2,500 bond. Hampton was released Tuesday on a $2,500 bond.
