UPDATE: Concord Road Covered Bridge Reopened After Accident
Drivers should avoid the area until the accident is cleared.
Concord Road is closed at the covered bridge on the border of Mableton and Smyrna while Cobb police work to clear an accident.
The department’s Public Information Officer Dana Pierce said the accident wasn’t serious, but that drivers could expect delays.
“It doesn’t sound like the worst like it usually is where they knock most of the covered bridge down, but it probably is reduced them going through there,” he said. “I don’t think it’s anything serious, I think just think it’s a typical property damage crash.”
