South Cobb's New Crime Investigator Offers Update

South Cobb gets a new property crimes investigator. Officers arrested almost 300 people in April.

South Cobb's Police Precinct 2 has a new lieutenant in its investigation division. Lt. Carole King now oversees property crimes in South Cobb.

Using the Cobb Police Email Notification System (PENS), King emailed citizens with information about crime and arrests in the South Cobb area.

South Cobb's Precinct 2 is the busiest zone in all of Cobb with the most service calls, a total of 59,301 for 2011.

"In response to these calls, our officers handle every type of dispatch - from domestic disputes to stolen autos and even homicides. Β In between, the officers also investigate missing children, traffic accidents and civil concerns (and anything else you could imagine)," King stated in the notification email.

In April, Precinct 2 officers arrested more than 61 felons and 230 misdemeanants, according to the email.

"No doubt, the officers and detectives of Zone Two stay busy, and we're lucky to have a motivated group of energetic law enforcers who thrive on the pace of this zone and helping the citizens of south Cobb," King stated in the email.
