Cobb Police Looking For Armed Robber in Mableton

An armed robber stole an undisclosed amount of cash in Mableton at Plaza Liquors on Mableton Parkway on Thursday night.

The Robbery Squad of the Cobb County Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Thursday night around 10:53 p.m. at Plaza Liquors on Mableton Parkway.

A man, who said he was armed, entered the store just as the clerk was closing the business. He forced the clerk to the register and after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he fled on foot to the nearby Chevron station, according to Cobb police.

According to the Cobb police, the perpetrator is currently looking for an African-American male, about 5’7” or 5’8” and about 30 to 40 years old. He had a medium build and “twisted” style hair (about ½”-1” long). He was last seen wearing a medium weight black nylon jacket (with gray stripes running the full length on the sleeves) and dark pants.
