Cobb Police Crime Report for Austell, Aug. 12-18

A weekly report of crime incidents reported by the Cobb Police Department

, Detective Sgt. Jorge Mestre said the South Cobb precinct, which is the busiest in the county, has answered 9,000 service calls since January.

Mestre also showed that the residential burglary is the top theft crime affecting South Cobb, with approximately 100 home invasions occurring each month.Β 

Here are the crime incidents that have occurred in Austell, according to the Cobb Police Department. The incidents occurring within the Austell Police Department's jurisdiction are not included in this report.

  • Burglary and forced entry of a residence at 4321 Yellow Rose Drive
  • Arrest of a wanted person at 4585 Rugosa Way
  • Strongarm robbery in the street at 7561 Six Flags Parkway

Aug. 13

  • Shoplifting, more than $300 at 3999 Austell RoadΒ 
  • Burglary, no forced entry, of a nonresidence at 7545 Hartman Industrial Way
