Austell Woman Dies in Mableton Crash
A medical condition possibly caused driver to lose control of her car, crashing it into a tree.
A medical condition possibly caused an Austell woman to lose control of her vehicle and drive into a tree in a fatal wreck on Fontaine Road, according to the Cobb County Police.
According to investigators, 67-year-old Mary Blackwell was traveling east on Fontaine Road on Tuesday when she lost control of her vehicle, left the road and struck a tree in the yard of a residence.
Blackwell was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash is under investigation, and no charges are expected to be filed.
