Austell Sex Offender Back in Jail

Kenneth Leonard Keith, who is required to wear an ankle monitor, "admitted that he did take the charger apart and did tape the wires with the tape."

A registered sex offender from Austell has been arrested after he allegedly took apart the charger in his electronic monitoring device.

Kenneth Leonard Keith is currently classified as a "sexually dangerous predator" and is required to wear the ankle monitor, according to a Cobb County criminal warrant.

The ankle monitor and charger "have been replaced numerous times in the past," an officer wrote in the warrant.

During an inspection of the charger, authorities Thursday "discovered that the charger had been taken apart and had what appeared to be black electrical tape wrapped around the wires," the officer wrote. "Accused admitted that he did take the charger apart and did tape the wires with the tape. Accused is currently out on bond for the same prior conduct."

Keith was arrested on a charge of removal or destruction of electronic monitoring devices. He is in the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.

Can anyone in the so called justice system in Cobb county tell any of us WHY IS HE FREE?? Free to roam our streets and possibly do harm to another child? So he destroys county property and already knows how to get out of it or worse. Get a f'ing grip Judge!!!
